SUNY College at Old Westbury New Academic Building

The New Academic Building provides instructional and support spaces in a flexible continuum for the College's three primary schools: Arts and Sciences, Education, and Business.

Sited and designed to engage the buildings and landscapes of the campus, the building defines a new entrance to the campus. It is designed to permit flexible boundaries between the three schools, to ensure a balance between faculty-student interaction and faculty privacy. The classrooms are oriented to the campus center, while offices face the woods and the residence halls. The lecture hall is located for direct access from the new campus entrance, and the student lounge and landscaped courtyard are oriented to the campus open spaces.
