This project provides a new home for Surgery Administration staff of 58 people including billing, HR, operations, finance, research assistants clinical and quality reviewers. An existing lower level office space is transformed to provide a light filled open work area, with adjoining landscaped garden terrace. New windows, glass fronted offices and colorful open workstations bring light into every individual work space. High ceilings are maintained with open acoustic blade elements concealing mechanical equipment. The open pantry has direct access to new exterior terrace with wood decking, and decorative wood slat walls that mask the surrounding brick walls. The terrace is an informal space for staff breaks, a calming escape or refuge.
