Franklin & Marshall College Roschel Performing Arts Center

This new theater is a cultural hub, linking with the student center and transformed studio spaces to form a performing arts center.

A plaza and skylit curved lobby bring visitors to the 305-seat theater. Catwalks, convertible thrust stage, orchestra pit, high clerestory windows, and direct access to backstage shops provide maximum flexibility for rehearsals and performances.

The theater is joined to a former swimming pool building which has been renovated to house dance studios, classrooms, a costume shop, a video production room, and back-of-house functions. A glass corridor invites visitors to view the activities in the studios.

The Performing Arts Center joins the music center, the student center, and the museum of art around a simply landscaped plaza. Accessible, marqueed entrances from the plaza and the campus provide public and service access.
