On the Boards: Design of a New Addition and “Fab Lab” Underway for Blind Brook-Rye Public Schools
KHA is designing two projects for the Blind Brook-Rye Union Free School District in Rye Brook, NY. Both projects will include new workshop spaces for interdisciplinary projects in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). A new wing at the elementary school will provide flexible classroom space, a new “maker space” for STEAM, and a hybrid cafeteria and auditorium. At the high school, a new fabrication lab with a variety of hi-tech tools and equipment will support provide space for students to pursue collaborative project-based learning and gain hands-on experience and problem-solving skills.
